Profit Split

Profit split is the percentage of eligible trading profit paid to the trader after payout rules, verification, and provider conditions are met.

Quick definition

Profit split is the percentage of eligible trading profit allocated to the trader and provider under the account terms. The headline percentage applies only after payout eligibility and other contractual conditions are satisfied.

Why it matters

Why profit split matters to traders

Two programmes with the same nominal split can produce different practical outcomes because payout frequency, minimum thresholds, scaling, fees and account rules affect how much profit is actually withdrawable.

Practical use

How traders use it

Compare the split alongside payout timing, eligible-profit calculation, withdrawal rules and the amount of risk capital available to generate that profit.

Common mistake

What to avoid

A higher percentage is not automatically a better deal if the account has materially worse drawdown, higher cost or more restrictive payout conditions.

Use the concept, not the label

Trading terminology is useful only when it improves a repeatable process. Define the concept clearly, test how you use it, pair it with risk management, and avoid turning chart language into certainty about what the market must do next.
